to me this is further proof that modest mouse is one of the best artists of our generation. Even after being signed to a large record label they haven't lost what makes them them (which is what happens to most bands.) I must have heard this song a million times, and its still always sounds fresh, and 20, 40, or even 100 years from now i bet that it will still have lyrics that will be of the present time. Modest Mouse is without a doubt timeless.

Whether or not the kid is truly dead is open for interpretation, the life support still showed a heart beat and normal breathing, but he could be in a permanent coma or some other form of brain damage; but I think that's all aside from the point of the video.

This song hits me every time..almost every single time I hear it, I just break down. I rethink everything that was good that ever happened to me, and I say to myself, "was it all for nothing?"
This song makes me chill. it gives me goosebumps..
We Treat Mishaps Like Sinking Ships, and We don't want to be out to drift, well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips, we both know were better than this.
My Favorite Line...ever.

Yeah, since the video is playing backwards, the kid dies before all of this.
