the 90's were better than this decade, but to me this decade is just an extension of what was being done. The 90's was full of sampling and unoriginality, but at least r&b singers had the voice to back it up, and the hip hop artists were singing about real, meaningful experiences though also sampling like no one's business. The 90's are unoriginal and played it safe all the time but it also resulted in a lot of good music.

An important song directed especially to our African American brothers back then & now. I beleive that not only is Monica saying that his interaction with the streets will jepordize their relationship, but his OWN MOTHAFUKIN LIFE!! People need to make more songs like this and spread the message!!

Ya'll can't tell me that the 90s wasn't a great era. We had some awesome music. Now...I don't know WHAT folks are throwing together and slapping a price tag on.
