Wow, that Kimono is so sexy and gorgeous...
she looks kinda old to me for a maiko, but well....all the elegance in the whole process and the pacience is amazing ...
=3

She's so beautiful! She's a maiko. Non-maiko's tie their obi and wear their hair differently than maiko's do.

don't rely on golden's book, about the mizuage.
lovely kimono. i love how it spreads at the bottom. but she has to /dance/ in all of that. i admire her for this.

she's a maiko. you can tell she hasn't had her misuage sold as she is wearing a white sheet of fabric in her hair. virgins have white, non virgins have a patch of red in the material.

I think i'd enjoy this a lot more if the filming was better :(

Most obi are the same length a maiko's obi is defferent than other obi, even though you can tie almost all obi in the darari style, the type of obi a maiko wears is more like the past time obi, but with more synthetic fiber. maiko and geiko are the shizzle

Too bad it's a dwindling tradition, geisha can be such beautidul people... all the make-up, and the kimono are simply gorgeous. |
