It's a sad story, but most people in network marketing have been sponsored and then are abandoned.
Part of this is due to poorly designed compensation plans that force distributors to continue sponsoring across their front line in order to maximize the compensation plan, compensate for distributors who pass them up or breakaway, or to hit large group volume requirements.
Part is due to distributors who have been ignored, so they go on and ignore their downline.
If you want to build a large network, what makes more sense to find a few good people and work with them to find good people or to sponsor hundreds of people hoping to find a couple superstars?
The former is the easiest and best, of course. So, what you must do is find good people and then work with them very heavily during their first 90 days - training, role-playing, 3-way calls, meetings, conference calls, etc.
Then support them continually through voice mail, e-mail, phone calls, snail mail, conference calls, and local meetings.
The better you train and support your network, the less the attrition will be and the higher level of loyalty you will experience through the years.
