Most of us are by now familiar with the terms Network Marketing, Multi-Level Marketing, and Networking. In a nutshell, these refer to the business of marketing by word-of-mouth.

When you find a great deal, you tell the people you know about it. If they like it, too, you can make some money.

No matter what business you're in, it's a good practice to talk to others about it. The more enthusiastically you promote your business, the more likely that others will become interested in it.

Suppose you owned a pizza parlor. You'd become a magnet for customers if you said, "You know, Mary, I wake-up in the morning and can't wait until I can get down to my pizza parlor. I love to see how happy people are when they're eating the best pizza in town at my restaurant, Sicily's Pizza Parlor. My family's been making the tastiest authentic Sicilian Pan Pizza for three generations, and I love it! There's nothing I'd rather do!"

Can you see yourself happily biting into the tastiest pizza you ever had? What is the atmosphere you picture in your mind's eye? Wouldn't you want to buy a pizza from someone who absolutely loves to make people happy with their delicious creations?

Consider this example from my own experience. I was at a pro football game, and the guy sitting next to me was as excited about it as I was. Our team was really "Taking care of business!"

At some point, I noticed he was wearing a collar pin bearing the initials 'NFL.' As an avid networker, I knew it didn't stand for National Football League! I asked, "Are you involved with NFL (a Network Marketing company), Fred?"

"Yea, I have a good-sized organization. What business are you in?"

"Direct Response Marketing," I told him. "Have you heard of the SECRETS TO MAILBOX MONEY?"

"You're that guy? I've read your magazine articles! Do you think your system can help my downline?"

"Let me tell you something, Fred. I love my business! I give people what they really want at a great price. I love to help them make their dreams come true. Nothing makes me happier than to help people create the life they really want to live!"

"I do, too! But, I need a better system that I can share with my people. We have a super program with top-quality products, but new people need a strong game plan, or else they'll quit the business before they have a chance to succeed!"

"Fred, I know what you mean. Networkers are taught to work their 'Warm Market,' and that's their family and friends. Usually, they sign-up their mom, their favorite uncle, and their best friend. Then, the well dries-up! That's it! The typical networker signs three people - ever! Networkers need to go beyond their warm market to be really successful!"

"Is that what the SECRETS thing is all about?"

The moral of this story is that you should talk about your business wherever you happen to be. Every situation is a business situation! When you speak enthusiastically about your business, the enthusiasm spreads like wildfire!
