I marvel at the idea of saturation when you look at the cold, hard facts of this industry:

1992 -- 120 companies (approx)
1998 -- 1000 companies (approx)
1992 -- 6.1 million distributors (U.S.)
1998 -- 7 million distributors (U.S.)

I'm no mathmatician, but that's a 500% increase in the number of companies and only a 15% increase in the number of distributors. Why, I ask?

Another fact that has always amazed me is that with over 270 million Americans why are only 2.6% of them in a Network Marketing program?

You see, in case you haven't already figured it out, there is no REAL secrets to making this business work. You simply have to WORK the business and it will work for you.

Oh, sure you can improve your advertising response rates and your closing rates by learning new techniques. But, what I'm talking about is like the "chicken and the egg" syndrome. Which comes first, MLM success or Slick presentations?

It is my belief that the way you make money in this business is by "exposing" the opportunity, product, or service to as many people as possible -- PERIOD! And the faster you do this the better success you'll have the the better you'll get at this business.

I wrote a book in 1996 about MLM. I've sold 13,000+ copies so far. I didn't become successful AFTER I wrote the book. Instead, I became successful working my rear off for 4 years and then I wrote the book -- see the difference?

You have a massive, and boy do I mean massive, market out there. Over 5,000 people a day are starting their own home based business. Entreprenuer magazine predicts that by 2010 there will be over 150 million people working from home, compared to 50 million today.

The trend is here to stay and if you hope to catch any of the profits from it I recommend that you get out there and start yelling "Xtra, Xtra", read all about it.

You get paid on educating the public about your opportunity and/or product/service. If you're not going to tell them somebody else more eager and less scared than you WILL!

More and more people today are starting to look at Network Marketing as a viable business. And, yes, a large percentage of them are skeptical of this industry and will be a bit stand-offish at first -- as they probably should in any business decision. But, my point is the more people you talk to and expose this opportunity to the better off you'll be this time next year.

I just talked to a guy today who asked me what "MLM" meant! You see, sometimes we all (myself included) get too caught up in the jargon and with the attitude that everybody knows as much as we do about this industry.

This couldn't be farther from the truth -- if this was the case more than 2.6% of the country would be in a program.

So, get on the phone and start spreading the "Good News" -- "Network Marketing works and I'm looking for a few people, who want to work it with me!"
