In this business you only need 4 people who see the big picture to build a life-time stream of residual income. It might take 6 months to find those 4 people or it might take 6 years. Who cares - what is a 6 figure residual income worth to you? You could work 40 years and still never even come close to that type of income, and most likely your job is not residual income.

With that in mind, your major concern RIGHT NOW is...

HOW CAN I FIND MORE PEOPLE TO TALK TO?

I want to share with you an experience I had last Monday.

I dropped my car off to get some body work completed on it and the owner of the shop was giving me a ride back home. During that 5 minute ride I learned he was sick of his business and wanted to do something else and had health challenges. Do you think this is a good prospect for my nutritional MLM business?

Well, I will be the first to admit that I am not a super star prospector. However, I am a pretty good learner. And, I have learned if you ask the right questions you will get the right answers.

During this 5 minute drive I first asked him how long he owned his shop. 17 years.

Next I said, "Really, you must really like this business then?"

For the next 4 and a half minutes he talked about why he DID NOT like it, how it has ruined his health and how he wants to get out of it and do something else.

Did I know some secret phrase or saying that caused this person to tell me he wanted to join MY MLM BUSINESS??? Nope, I just asked him 2 simple questions and let him tell me every reason why he would want to join me in my MLM business.

Try it. The next time you are at a store or in a restaurant ask the friendly cashier how long they have worked there? No matter what they say, reply with, "Really, you must love working here - it seems like a GREAT job."

They will reply back with every reason they have of why they DO NOT like their job and unknown to them, why they want YOU to tell them about your MLM business.

Do you have to be outgoing to do this?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. I am not outgoing, I just know what I want to say and then say it.

Also, if you do nothing else this week; READ THIS NEXT PART, WRITE IT DOWN AND USE IT!!

How many times do people ask you "What do you do for a living?" or "What are you up to know?"

I have been keeping track and on average it is 1 or 2 times a week if you do not try. If you try to get people to ask you that question it can be 5 times or MORE per week.

Why is that important?

You can have people asking you for your business card and an appointment for a presentation IF you know what to say in response.

Before I tell you exactly what to say in response, let me first give you a another great tip on how to have everybody you talk to ask you about your business.

I have come to realize over the past several months one truth ... Almost 100% of the time that you mention you have your own business; the other person will ALWAYS ask you about it. No matter what the conversation is about or how it was brought up.

For example, the other day I was talking to a guy about a business he used to own and he said that he received most of his new clients build most of my business through referrals as well." In a matter of seconds the conversation totally changed and he became VERY interested in my business - he wanted to know what I did and how I got started.

Business ownership is a VERY HOT TOPIC today. People want to get ideas and how-to information about owning a business and there is no better way then from people who are already doing it. If they know that you own a business, they want to find out everything about it to see if they can get some insight on how they can do the same.

Now, here we go. Grab a pen and BE SURE TO TAKE NOTES!!

The most important part is what comes next. They are going to ask you almost every time about your business. If you do not know how to reply then you just lost a potential business builder on your team. Here is EXACTLY what to say.

Joe Blow Prospect: Really, you own your own business! What is it?

You: Do you know how people are looking to diversify their income and make more money starting a business they run from their home in their spare time?

Joe Blow Prospect: Ahhh.... yeah... that sounds like me.

You: Well, what I do is work with people to start their own business they run from their home in their spare time following a proven system that works.

Joe Blow Prospect: Really, could you tell me more about this. I might be interested.

You: Sure, let me get your name and phone number and I will give you a call to set up a time to discuss this over coffee.

This WORKS and it does not cost you any more of your time, money or effort. All you do is casually mention something about your business, or that you own a business, during your normal day to day activities when talking to friends, family or people you meet and let the word-for-word script accomplish its job - GET YOU AN APPOINTMENT.

Ok, from the above you need to pull out two key phrases:

"Do you know how...." Fill in PROBLEMS people are facing and can be fixed with your MLM opportunity. Some ideas are financial/money pressures, lack of time freedom, lack of recognition in the workplace, kids being raised by $6 an hour day care workers, etc.... The list is endless.

Then

"Well, what I do is...." Name the SOLUTIONS to those problems.

The key is to say it exactly like it is written. "Do you know how..." and "Well, what I do is...." You can be creative and add your own "style" to the problem/solution part. But, how you set up the 2 phrases is crucial.

So, what happens? If that problem is one they have right now and they like the solution you have to offer then they will ask you for your business card and give you theirs in return. Tell them you will give them a call and the two of you can set up a time to discuss this over a cup of coffee.

Don't tell them anything in detail. You are a professional!! Professionals work by appointment and their time is valuable. If what you had to share could be done in a few minutes while standing outside of Wal-Mart, then that is not very valuable information and does an injustice to your prospect because they get a 5 minute overview that gives them just enough information to say "not interested."

However, if the information you have requires that the two of you meet for 30 minutes, that is a lot more valuable and you can give a professional presentation and be prepared. Remember - you are the one in control - not the person you are talking to.

You can also do this from a product viewpoint too.

(The following is based on a nutritional product line.)

"Do you know how degenerative diseases such as cancer, stroke, arthritis and diabetes is becoming more common and effecting more people then ever before?"

"Well, what I do is offer people a natural way to build up their bodies defenses against those things to not only let people live longer, but also much more healthier lives."

If they do not express an interest in what you said. That is great, you can always ask them for referrals.

You: Do you know anybody who would be interested in something like this? Somebody who is an outgoing, ambitious people-person who is looking to make some more money or is unhappy with their current job?

The key, like always, is to PRACTICE, PRACTICE and then PRACTICE some more. You must say it naturally and not like some "canned sales pitch" because it is not a sales pitch at all. You will be amazed at how many opportunities you are offered each week to get people begging you for more information - it is easy if you know what to expect and do.

Try it for 2 weeks and see how many new prospects you get into your prospecting pipeline.
